Reiki Services & Certification Courses
About Rhiannon
My path as a healer, teacher, and facilitator has been shaped by lived experience, deep
listening, and devotion to practices that support embodied healing, personal sovereignty,
and reconnection with the Sacred Self.
For over two decades, I have walked alongside individuals and communities through
healing, transition, and transformation — offering Reiki, intuitive development, meditation,
ceremony, and mentorship as steady, compassionate supports along the way.
Where It Began
My foundation is meditation. Long before Reiki entered my life, I was drawn to inner stillness,
symbolic language, and altered states of awareness that allowed access to deeper truth,
guidance, and restoration.
One of the first spiritual practices I learned was Shamanic Journeying, and it felt like a
profound homecoming. Through journey work, animal allies, and relationship with the
unseen realms, I discovered a way of listening that honored both intuition and grounded
presence. These early experiences shaped the way I understand healing — not as
something imposed, but as something remembered.
I have always been a writer, and this expression naturally evolved into the creation of
guided meditations and healing journeys. Over the years, I have produced more than 20
guided meditation titles, weaving together shamanic journeying, archetypal wisdom, and
energetic healing. These meditations have become a cherished and consistent element
across all of my work — sessions, classes, and events — and are often named by clients
and students as deeply impactful.
Across all offerings, meditation remains a core thread — supporting regulation, insight, and
integration.
The Mermaid’s Treasure Chest: A Community Root
An important chapter of my journey was co-owning and stewarding a metaphysical
bookstore and community space called The Mermaid’s Treasure Chest.
More than a shop, it was a living gathering place — a space for readings, classes,
workshops, and visiting facilitators offering a wide range of spiritual and healing modalities.
It was here that I began offering professional intuitive readings and classes, while also
learning deeply from a diverse circle of teachers and presenters whose work spanned
shamanic practices, mediumship, animal communication, energy healing, and devotional
traditions.
Hosting and learning alongside others in this environment shaped my understanding of
community-based healing and the importance of accessible, grounded spiritual spaces.
Many of the facilitators who shared their work with us during that time went on to expand
their offerings widely, and I continue to hear how meaningful that early container was for
both teachers and participants alike.
Although the Mermaid’s Treasure Chest was a relatively brief chapter, its impact was
enduring. It laid the foundation for how I facilitate today — with reverence for community,
curiosity for diverse paths, and deep respect for the way shared spaces can become
catalysts for growth, confidence, and calling.
My Journey to Reiki
Although I had long worked with universal life force energy, my formal path with Reiki
began during a pivotal moment in my life: supporting our beloved dog, Rowan, through
canine lymphoma.
Reiki offered a tangible, embodied way to support healing — not only for Rowan, but for
myself and my husband as well. Through that experience, I knew Reiki would become a
lifelong practice and a cornerstone of our shared work.
Rowan’s presence and legacy live on through Rowan Tree Reiki, named in her honor and
symbolizing resilience, protection, and sacred connection. Reiki became both a personal
devotion and a professional calling — one that continues to unfold with humility and
reverence.
Reiki for Humans & Animals
I hold a deep love and respect for animals and have felt called, from the very beginning of
my Reiki journey, to offer Reiki for both humans and animals.
In addition to in-person and distant Reiki sessions for people, I specialize in Animal Reiki,
offering support for companion animals and volunteering Reiki for animals in rescue. Animal
Reiki continues to be a profound teacher — reminding me of presence, consent, and the
intelligence of the natural world.
Teaching, Mentorship & Community
Teaching Reiki and intuitive development is one of the great honors of my life.
I am committed to meeting students where they are — honoring unique pacing, learning
styles, and life circumstances. My approach emphasizes embodiment, discernment, and
trust in one’s own inner knowing rather than hierarchy or performance.
In 2021, I founded the Intuitive Spiritual Healing Practitioner (ISHP) Course, a year-long
journey that represents the culmination of my two decades of experience. The course
weaves together Reiki, meditation, intuitive development, ceremony, and self-inquiry,
offering students a grounded yet expansive container for growth.
Beyond formal training, community is central to my work. I facilitate monthly Reiki Shares,
Journey with the Sacred Self gatherings, seasonal ceremonies, and ongoing events
designed to foster connection, continuity, and mutual support.
Why Clients & Students Feel Safe & Supported
My work is shaped not only by training, but by lived experience.
I have navigated grief, trauma, illness, and profound life transitions, and I understand how
essential safety, gentleness, and choice are within the healing process. These experiences,
paired with my empathic nature, allow me to meet others with compassion, respect, and
presence — without bypassing or rushing what needs time.
I hold space that is inclusive, grounded, and attuned — allowing Reiki and other practices
to unfold organically in support of each person’s intentions.
Priestess Path & Ongoing Study
In 2018, I completed a year-long Woman-Shaman-Priestess training through the Mt. Shasta
Goddess Temple and have continued my studies through additional temple courses,
including Love & Aether: Priestess of Aphrodite and an immersive study of Isis.
These teachings inform my ceremonial work, relationship with the land, and understanding
of sacred feminine lineage — grounding spiritual practice in devotion, embodiment, and
service.
Life Beyond the Work
I live in Southern California with my husband, Dirk, and our big fluffy Golden-Newfie, Willow.
Outside of facilitation and teaching, I am nourished by Kundalini yoga, mantra, drumming,
bird watching, time in nature, reading, tea, chocolate, and the quiet practice of simply
being.
An Invitation
If you feel called to work together, I would love to connect — whether through a Reiki
session, a class, a ceremony, or a longer journey of study.
Healing is not about becoming someone new — it is about remembering who you already
are.
